Retrofit Installer Stick Built Homes
This IREC accredited course utilizes lecture, discussion, group activity, independent study and one full day of laboratory-based training to provide students with comprehensive information on the weatherization measures in stick-built homes. Students get their hands dirty installing attic, wall, and floor insulation, replacing windows and doors, installing weather stripping, sealing and insulating ducts. Students will also demonstrate competency performing blower door, duct blaster and CAZ testing. This course when taken in conjunction with the REA Retrofit Installer Manufactured Homes course, is in alignment with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the U.S. Department of Energy designated Job Task Analysis (JTA) of Crew Leader and Retrofit Installer Technician.

Required Prerequisites: None
​
Physical Requirements: Sit and stand for long periods of time. Able to access and inspect attics and crawls spaces.
